My roof had rust and 'shaved' look to the blue. My dealer didn't tell me either at VI Custom Car imports and I neglected to check it out while 'shopping'- although I brought it back to get painted as they scratched alongside the gutters while taking off their 'show' rack that was on the van. The paint promise was because of their scratches - I noticed the rust spots later.
I also took my curtains down to get washed and noticed most screws in the tracks close to the ceiling were also rusted/corroded......

I have been toying with the idea of a rhino roof for a while too. I never knew anyone had done it, good on ya JRMan. I wonder if anyone out there with the crystal lites has rhino'ed. What are the consequences of rhino'ing if there is already the formation of a few rust bubbles?

Tks Tom - I think it turned out pretty good.
The guys at Rhino in NVan said they did a Crystal Lite deli before mine - I think they charged and additional $50 for the masking work - might be Brett from North Van??
Anyway - not sure about going over pre-existing rust, but the stuff is most certainly like Gorilla snot and I don't believe it will peel or flake - so even if the rust continues to grow, it should be slowed and the Rhino will keep the roof more water tight than without it (sort of like a membrane I guess???).
Good luck.
