i got new north american glass Brand new with dot as1, for $300 installed. this will fit directly to your delica.

To update, the wind shield is in. Brocco in town put it in for $112 after tax.

I've a domestic-issue '93 Mazda PU. It has a clutch safety switch - and I say "clutch" vs. "neutral" only because of the way it works: For starter to engage the clutch must be depressed regardless if I'm in a gear or in neutral (ie. it will start if I'm in 1st with clutch depressed).asorensen wrote:... I wouldn't be surprised if one could fairly easily adapt either a domestic-issue Mitsu (of similar era) clutch safety switch to a Delica...or even another Japanese manufacturer's.

... a clutch safety switch isn't required (it refers to a "Neutral safety switch" not being required for manual trans.). So you might want to ask the inspector where his/her inspection criteria comes from?

Thanks for the suggestion. I got the issue resolved on friday actually.
Toyota landcruiser switch was put in by the mechanic. cue $300 total after tax with the inspection being passed (yehaa)
Looks like it could be done ones self, unfortunately it was one of those things I had no idea about what it is they were talking about.
A hole was drilled on the stop tab of the clutch pedal and a push button release switch and then wired into the ignition in the steering column. When the button is depressed by the clutch pedal hitting the pedal stop the ignition is disabled.
The switch was $75 from the mechanic.
So it cost a bit but the Van has BC plates on it now so I am stoked.
Now if I can get rid of the whiny squeely suspected belt issue I will be really stoked.
