Re: Child seat tether anchors
Here they are Spyder;
The rear bench seat is attached under the seat material

To the existing seatbelt anchor, with only a minor cut in the material.

The Captains Chairs look like this installed

With the strap going to the back of the chair

To one of the two bottom bolts on the portion of the seat that will swivel

I did have to remove the plastic plate to access the bolts and had to cut it to accept the clip and allow the keeper to remain closed.
If this is not quite clear let me know and I will get more detailed pics. This is the best I could do with the time I had today.
Hope this helps

I agree, much nicer install than mine. The good news is my youngest is only 3 pounds shy of a booster seat, so those anchor wont be there long

Re: Child seat tether anchors
I think I remember having to bore out the two back anchor plates so the seatbelt bolts would go through. Just be prepared for this with a vice and a big drill bit. Easy to check and it takes less than 5 minutes to install.

Where do you get the actual anchors? They are much more "discreet" than what I was about to use...

Re: Child seat tether anchors
hey Fishtank how do you attach the child seat to the chair? are you using the seatbelt and the friction device that they come with? I was hoping to use the strap that came with the seat that is used to clip into the in-seat anchors that all new cars have so that the seat could be installed and the chair can be moved about freely. I was think I could find two more bolt under the seat to bolt anchors to or I could find or made a really strong ring of steel to clip they ends together with behind the seatback, that cold also if you wanted to get clipped into the hook on the tether strap but I don't think that would be needed. if you have come up with another way I would love to see some pics of how you did it.
