Thanks for these latest variants Bruce! I think that your latest version might be getting too "busy" (i.e., at first glance, it may be difficult to identify both the Maple Leaf and the Mitsu logo).

My personal favourite among today's logos would be this one of yours:

I love it!

I like the the original 6/7 but with the solid text. Like the variant you made on the beer bottle.

I think the metallic bevelling on the text are a bit cheesy. I like the simple flat look.

All great work though! :D

Judging from the responses on the poll, option 6/7 seem to be the fave. Obviously the 'solid' text version would be included in this too - it's getting the basic design chosen first, then variants can be made later for different things and purposes.

I too prefer the look of things fairly flat & simple (option 7 is my fave too along with the 'solid' version of it  )

I always like to take things to a point where other people say 'WHOA there - that's gone too far! Lets back it up a bit...." That way they know they have the logo that works for them instead of wondering "what if we added/did that to it" but never knowing (if you get what I mean?)

Logo 6/7 (and the solid variants) are the same thing in that the design is the same, but the colour scheme has been changed to suit a different application. If I had a white Deli, I'd probably want #7 on it, but if I had a black Deli, maybe #6 would work better??

I think you are right (in the same way that I think #8 & #9 are a step too far) but I just wanted to try it out to see what it would look like... :D

I reckon the diamonds would work well on their own, but I think the Maple leaf is more apt and in keeping with the club...so keeping it to just this sounds the best option.

Regarding the 'metallic' version, this was just playing on the computer, but would be difficult and expensive to re-produce as stickers, t-shirts or other things because it is using full colour, not solid colour. (I'm gonna have to get used to saying COLOR on here! :? )

Love the thinking behind that one - I'm GUTTED you're not going to make the meet - would love to meet you face to face!

If I get chance, I'll have a play for the sake of you & Adam (got to keep you guys happy now! )

I'm gonna be fairly busy for the next few days, but I'll get some 'trial' stickers made over the weekend if I get time - slap on on my Deli and report back here with some shots.... :D (will be picking up my new L300 on Sunday, so this is going to be prime territory for some DELICA graphics!  )

Mark - if at any point you need a copy of any particular one for the website, just give me a shout....

Bruce.

I'm gonna have to get used to saying COLOR on here!
NOOOO!!!! please don't... it is definitely colour, and NOT color... (we aren't American after all! ;) )
Canadian spellings are generally much closer to British than they are to American (we keep the u in colour, honour, etc) though there are some exceptions (eg, we use tire instead of tyre) our pronounciation is also more British than American.

Now back on topic... as for the logos, I love the full colour fancy one, but can understand why it's not good for decals, but I bet it would be great for a logo on this site etc...

for the designs, I think the mitsi logo is too much but I love the two front runners, not sure wether I prefer the hollow letters or solid, solid is probably more visible from a distance, but the hollow is slightly nicer I think... hard to say which I prefer overall...

While I don't think that's where I'd like to see the site's "official" logo go... that skull and tire tread logo would be awesome for some of the more "hardcore" types... I could certainly see that on a T-shirt somewhere...

At some point I want to do some graphics on my vehicle, but I haven't decided what I want to do yet... and I think I'd probably have to remove the factory blue stripes for any of it to look right... oh well, things to ponder for later...

Hi Green1,

Don't worry, the skull & X-bones is not a 'candidate' for the club logo in any way - but just a bit of fun in answer to the deranged and demented minds of those sick puppies Adrock and Surferboy!  (can't wait to meet them, just a shame Frenchy can't make it to the meet! :? )

I'll be happy to play with any ideas you have for your motor? Could even make the graphics up for you (the joys of owning a vinyl cutter! :D )

I think I'm only going to be bringing a handful of clothes because it looks like my suitcase will be full of stickers, t-shirts and other stuff for you lot!

I'll have another go at the skull on Monday Adam (unless you like it as it is?)

I think I'll also have some 'proper' DELICA stickers made and photographed by then too.....

Cheers for now everyone,

Bruce.

I don't have a lot of ideas for my motor yet, and I'm not sure how it will look if I take the blue stripes off as you can usually still see where the vinyl was once it is removed...

I kinda want to put Cerberus on my van (Greek mythology, three headed dog with the tail of a serpent that guards the gates of Hades) but that is something for a different topic and a different time...

I also have another friend with a vinyl cutter, as well as a wide format plotter (and I mean WIDE, like 10' or so...) he specializes in large format graphics, posters, printing etc...

Bruce its no big deal really, if you think you can make it look better then I would love to see what you can do. I like it now, and honestly wouldn't mind that in a diamond to put on my front windshield. Maybe a subsection of the club? haha. Delica Pirates? It would be really awesome to have something like that to slap on right over wehere the rear view mirror is mounted.

Thanks for throwing that down it is really rad.
