I am all for this....bring on the stickers and whatever else....just in case you all organizing this needed more incouragement. :-)

For the record I support the the sticker with the website on it. As jaggedfish pointed out it would help point people in the right direction for info. I like the maple leaf one too. Subtle is good!!!

I'd buy a couple keychains!

Now if we can find a member with access to a vacuum former, we can also try the Delica stamped into the front bush guard cover (the black plastic one that says Mitsubishi in white relief). How bout some new fancy door panels, "hump" shelves and some custom molded cup holders that are convenient? While we're at it I'd like to add in some console options that would make better use of the space...and maybe a rear cargo area liner to keep that potting soil off the carpet. I'd also like to see some new window shades that snap into place easily when used and stow away conveniently when out of use...much like the screens you get over the windows in alot of larger boats these days...personally I don't care for the look of tied back frilly curtains at the side of each window...would rather have em bare until privacy/shade is wanted.

Who wants to go in on a vacuum former? lol

I was going to make my own curtains and sew in rare-earth magnets as the hardware, these should stick to the existing channel, if not I will rig something into it or replace it with a plain strip of metal. These will also have the added feature of coming down instead of tearing or bending hardware when one of the kids tries to climb it :)

when you have a good magnet you find that these vehicles are quite magnetic inside... the carpeted area above the windows in the back (between the curtain track and the crystal-lite roof) is all metal with very thin carpet over top, magnets stick very well to that area (I have a stack of magnets that I keep in the vehicle for when working events, then we have various maps, charts, and forms all stuck to the walls with magnets.)
It should however be noted that the track itself is not magnetic....

I thought it might be aluminum but when I tried a fridge magnet it stayed, but in hind-sight I think it was sticking at the top only so was likely sticking to the metal underneath the upholstery (or what ever you call the stuff on the walls) just above it.

I will see about replacing the track or finding/making something to go into the track for the magnets to stick to.

I am stable in most situations that I have no reservations in stormy conditions.

Mugs sound cool. T shirts and hats I can pass on, but keychains mugs and stickers?...not a chance.
I'd be into two of each me thinks.

Okay, update time on the Mitsumaple stickers.

The company I'm dealing with says they can 'read' the file we've now sent them. I'll call today to finalise the particulars of the order.

As for the vacuum form, it would be cool if we could get the table-with-cup-holder-behind-the-front-seats-on-the-hump-thingy made (from the accessories catalogue, page 7). I was thinking of making that out of a nice piece of wood.

WOW! This has taken on a life of it's own... awesome ideas! As far as the DELICA stickers go... great job MM... had a suspicion something like that already existed as it seems a lot of thought has been put into this site. Don't mind forking over money for these. My sponsorship suggestion was more to offset the up front cost so whoever organizes production isn't out of pocket - I hope it didn't come over wrong to those guys who regularly contribute to this site - still nice to see sharing of info amongst enthusiasts.

Metal engraving... COOL! Have seen some RALLIART badges on Ebay... hmmm. I've been toying with going further on the rally inspired design of Delis to give it more of that competition "racey" look.... perhaps a Delica.ca/Ralliart flagship or 2 would be cool?... just throwing things out there....

Vacuum forming?..... NOW YOU'RE TALKING!!!!

I have a lot of woodshop stuff and, once I have some projects out of the way (closer to the Summer), will be looking to create some interior things... will look at the catalogue page Mararmeisto speaks of. I have a few sheets of Mahogany plywood laying around. Installs are another good excuse to gather and can be used to "trade" rather than "sell" skills - no offense to those who do this as a business as I support that too... my personal feeling is trading is more "clublike".

I will shut up now...

I like the vacuum forming and cup holder idea! By the way, did I mention the cup holder idea? (the only weak spot in the whole vehicle IMO)

I would have no problem putting cash down for some of this stuff, because in the the end, materials and time cost somebody soemthing, doesn't it?

Okay everybody... you can all stop holding your breath. I picked up the Mitsumaple stickers today, and just as soon as I get all of them stuck onto the Moon Machine I'll take a picture and post it here. I think I got enough to cover both sides of my van...

Not funny?

Okay. Seriously though, I'm going to be sending them out to a couple of distributors in the Vancouver area, keep some here on the Island for the lot of us, and then some over to Mystery Machine in the UK. (these are the areas of concentration). What I do need is someone in the Calgary area: Green1, how about you (PM sent)?

The intent is to see them handed out at 'meets' in order to foster a sense of community. If there is enough demand, then more can be produced. If there is enough demand for direct-purchase, then I'm going to have to figure out some other sort of arrangement.

I can probably arrange to hand out some decals...

on a side note, I had another Delica owner ask me about the Delica.ca decals today (I have them on my van both front and rear)
Do we have a plan to make more of those as well?
