I guess I'm more pedantic. I prefer "Empty" to mean "Containing nothing" rather than "sort of low, maybe you should refuel soon" (which is what I think the fuel light should mean).FalcoColumbarius wrote:

I appreciate that Mitsubishi wanted to avoid running the engine dry, but, to my thinking, making the gauge deliberately tell lies undermines that goal. If I know my gauge lies, I'm more likely to ignore it and drive beyond the "empty" mark. 150km beyond the mark, in this case.
Still, I have the technology to fix it. I'm either going to build a digital gauge corrector, or just make a new face for my gauge with the Empty mark in the correct place.
