Been getting great updates from Graham at CCAutos. Adjustment made to kickdown cable as it was really out of whack, and when checking glow-plugs to diagnose cold start problem found that I have 3 of the new plugs I put in last november and one other type of plug. I know for a fact I put 4 brand new plugs in when I chnaged them last year. Very strange. Still working on the ABS light and getting ready to crank the torsion bars up a little to even it out.
New (to me) exhaust coming this afternoon to throw on. Starting to get excited to take it for a burn when it is done!

Someone needs to make you a "Relax, this ain't the Deerfoot!" t-shirt.
Squamish to Lillooet is an awesome drive.

I don't drive the Deerfoot. That is for doggone dirty flames fans. It is an awesome drive...especially if you are "driving" a goat, or a camel, or yelling at a shirpa.

Been a while since an update! Let's summarize:

Vancouver in the morning. Love it.

Feeding goats.
And that about sums it up. Saw lots of Delicas, and didn't get any wave backs. Bring back the wave! Hit some hills that I thought I was going to over heat on- One stretch from Vancouver to Kelowna I popped the turbo pressure release about five or six times trying to get up. All in all it was a great trip but I am not taking kids on a trip like that again until they are at least 10! It is hard to keep them occupied when they appear to have inherited their dads ADHD.
Stopped in at Coombs and they did what they do best. Tuned me up, cranked the torsion bars, sold me parts, and installed my 2.5 stainless exhaust (thanks again Kuan!). It sounds like a cross between a REAL diesel and a rice-rocket. Love it. I think it kept my temperatures lower too and it has definately got balls now. The Coombs boys all took it for a burn and said it was one of the fastest they have ever driven. Not that fast is everything but it is nice to know I can beat an 80's Dodge Caravan off the line now

So on a related note, I have been rasing my daughter to be a huge van-fan and she loves cruising in my Deli. She has since day one:

BUT now I have another future Delica passenger. Note that I said passenger because only I drive my Delica.... and maybe my wife sometimes when I am feeling nice or guilty of something.
