That's a good thing to do from time to time. I also use methylated spirits when cleaning out my air guns (for painting). The alcohol separates the hydrogen & oxygen and the water evaporates ~ stops parts from rusting. I don't think I would care to do it as often as once a month ~ more like once in a while ~ prolonged contact with rubber can crack seals, hoses, &c.. Alcohol dehydrates. you've seen what it can do to you... think what it can do to rubber.

Thanks falco you are right your the best I forgot about that alcohol dries up the seals. Noted cheers mate
