Agree on the public list. That being said, I'm in Winnipeg and am on Fillup4free and am OK with people contacting. I have a surplus at various time and know of others locally that can help out if need be. I also plan to go to ON this summer or next so I'll be sending out a similar post when the time comes.

fillup4free is as good as dead and has been for a very very long time. it was over a year after i asked to be put on the map before i finally was. i'm lucky if i get 1 answer out of ten people i contact on there. so far, for me anyway, digging up sources from the 'net, and sharing person to person the info on other vegburners has worked well

Yeah, I found the same thing...but there were one or two that were responsive and quite generous, although as I mentioned, by the time I'd had a response -- usually 2-3 days for these -- we had already left the region. But yes, 1 out of 10 probably for a response...
