Since your tank is just sitting in the back, I would. Just run a wire from one of the 5 bolts that holds the sending unit in place to a chassis ground, that will be enough. Also, I had to dip my bolts in silicone sealer before I used them to bolt the sending unit in place because otherwise it leaked like a sieve.
