let the motor rev I think 2,800-3000 is good...pay attention to the skinny pedal if pressing makes no more speed then you are making heat. Watch the temperatures gauge. If it get hotter slow down. If you exit in Cold Water exit after the old toll booth at the bottom of the large climb that road goes into Merritt. Nice drive flat adds 5 minutes on the nicest road (go slow through the Reserve). You miss a big climb and decent into Merritt.

If you run hot pull over rev the engine to 2,000 ish until the temp comes down.

Pyro are a good investment in my mind as that is a hill I do not think the designers in-visioned.

Make sure the radiator is full.

Thanks for the tips djjack. I hope the cold temperature will help keep the engine cool on the climb. Rad is topped up, changed the oil/filter, and air filter as well. I'm sure all will go well.
