I think my containers cost me somewhere around $3900 each.

Containers

Post by fastbmw7 »

For those of you in the West Coast area, de-stuffing the container yourself is a way of saving a lot of money. There are very few agencies in Vancouver that are interested in de-stuffing your car container for you and the few that do cost a pretty penny.
A well packed conatiner is well worth the extra cost over R0-Ro. Be aware that some companies are much more careful in packing and securing your car in the container than others. I could send some pictures of some horrific examples of packing gone very, very badly wrong.

I have recieved several vehicles on Ro-Ro which have been lets say less than looked after . I had a mercedes with slashed seats , a mini with the stereo ans speakers missing , a porsche with side damage , another porsche with stereo equipment gone . Who knows how much other stuff is taken from these vehicles in transit ???? Container shipping is a more expensive , secure way of shipping and as of now I have only had one vehicle damaged in transit in container ..... but time will tell .
