Introducing The Wave Wagon...
Well here she is The Wave Wagon!! She's a 95 L400 Crystal Lite with 146k. I would like to thank Steven at Rising Sun for offering a decent trade in price for my Silver Surfer(All silver 93 L300 Crystal Lite), saving me the private sale hassle, as well as the no ride in between stage. I found them very honest and pleasant to deal with, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a jdm.
It was time to move up in Horsies and comfort for surf trips and pulling our Boler all summer.....
Sorry for the low res iphone pics.
Upgrades completed:
-Heat shaped front mud flaps(can tire)
-Alpine Speakers all around
-Windshield nozzles cleaned and re-aimed
-Console box re finished black plus magnetic closing door added
Much more to come...

Nice Wheels!
I have the exact same wheels on my L300 (16") In fact, you are driving the L400 version of my L300
Was your silver surfer the same one I looked at? It was stored in a yard out on E Kent - had mags, flares, spoiler. I'm just curious - I really liked that van but had a lot of trouble communicating with the seller, a Canadian in Japan.

MitSurfbishi- Sweet looking ride. Just wondering if I can ask you a question. Why only front mud flaps? Is there a special reason that you heat shaped them? I recently purchased a set of 4 mud flaps from crappy tire (which will have to wait until spring now as it is getting pretty cold here) and just thought I would clarify before I put them on. Just wondering. Thanks
Craig

No that must have been a different L300. Mine had no flares or spoiler. Question for you though, what size tires are you running? Do you have any rubbing issues?glenn wrote:Nice Wheels!

Re: Introducing The Wave Wagon...
Hey Craig thanks, yeah I used a heat gun to bend them backwards away from the tire so if reversing in mud or snow they arent ripped up into the tire and torn off. Sort of like the Jaos ones are. Having the fender flares and 16" rims reduces the clearance inside the wheelwells a bit so just playin it safe.CREGAN wrote:MitSurfbishi- Sweet looking ride. Re: Introducing The Wave Wagon...
Very nice rig.
Bowls are held in via three nylon philips press in grommets.

If you remove the front plastic quarter bowls (forward facing in the front wheel wells) and use an exacto blade to trim back the corner of the flare at the front, you won't have any rubbing issues at full articulation/wheel lock. You'll also get more tire grab when approaching a rock of high surface contact point instead of crushing or folding in the plastic bowls.MitSurfbishi wrote:Having the fender flares and 16" rims reduces the clearance inside the wheelwells a bit so just playin it safe.

No mods for the rear. Cranked the front torsion bars, removed the front mudflaps, and that was about it if I remember correctly.
I'm blushing.
