All right, I have been drooling over deli's for literally 3 years now. Enough is enough, my Yota (89 Toyota pickup) is becoming extremely unpractical for transporting people and equipment for photo shoots and such, and the back end gets super light in the winter causing me to add cement bags to her, thus reducing my gas mileage. FAckeR! So, considering the amount of mileage on her (almost 330k) I think that it is in my best interest to finally buy the vehicle I want, not only that but a diesel as well!
So I have some questions.... Right now I live on Vancouver island Aka "Greatest place in the world", Coombs is right up the road (2hrs that is) and it seems logical to buy from them or Five star auto. Now, I couldn't find it anywhere in the forums but will Coombs Country auto go through the importing process with you to get a deli from the old country? Five Star has a deli I like but its listed for $12,900.00 and doesn't that many accessories (ladder, roof rack). I have a budget of $11,500 and yes I do know that if I import it is extremely hard to figure out the overall cost since it needs to be worked over. So ya, I'll be heading up to Pville in the next month for some test rides, maybe I'll drop by CC auto and talk to Camacho.
But anyways, the whole point was to say Hi and to mention that I will be a new owner of a deli, hopefully sooner than later.
New chico on the block!

Welcome
Yup 5 Star & Coombs are worthy of a visit to purchase. You might want to look south to the tip of the rock. I know of one nice lil black low roof duel fuel that is worth a look too. He may even budge on his asking price ( I think he's getting tired of catfood on toast for dinner
)
Oya , as far as light in the rearend, you aint driven a Deli yet
Cheers

Orale! Did you ever make that visit to 5 Star?
We have bought two vehicles "through" CCAutos - one from 5 Star and another from Tyee Imports, but Glen looked at both of them, gave them the E-package maintenance review. As far as I was concerned, we drove away in brand-new 15-year-old vehicles both times, making it well worth the trip north.

I would go with cc auto's as well. Also look in the for sale section on this site, you'll find lots of solid rides for cheaper then 12,900 that are often more modified. Oh and welcome.

Welcome - I'd suggest you give Graham or Glenn at CCautos a call for sure. Great guys to deal with.

Happy Day!
