Another new owner in Calgary!
I am going to pick up my new (to me) Delica tomorrow and will need a bit of advice from all you Delica Buffs. First thing would be; is there a good service shop here in Calgary or should I be thinking of taking it out to the coast for a yearly service? Is there some place in town where I can pick up consumables such as oil filters. Do I need an additive and if so how much to use per tank of Diesel. This is my first diesel vehicle so any info is appreciated.

Re: Another new owner in Calgary!
Hey hey welcome,
I am a new owner since August, so I look forward to some veteran knowledge here... but here's what I can offer
I'm adding diesel conditioner every time I fill up. I add as much as the label says, which is about 1ounce per 50L (i keep a shot glass in my glovebox)
I took the Deli to Pro-Star in the NE for the OOP inspection, but I've yet to find another mechanic for regular service... hoping to find one in NW Calgary...
The Oil filters etc can be found most places, you just need the OEM part numbers to cross-reference when you go to NAPA/Cdn Tire. Part numbers can be found on this forum.
Hope you enjoy your new ride, I love mine so far... Off to Fairmont this weekend...

Re: Another new owner in Calgary!
Welcome to the group Dennis!
A number of us now take our buses to Kirkham Automotive in the south of Calgary (Mcleod and Southland-ish). They are good fellas and knowledgeable on the Delica front. They also don't mind if you bring your parts with you. I am new to Calgary as well but so far they have done my OOP inspection, installed my lift kit and done the alignment. I thought they were quite reasonable on price too.
Aside from that... looks like we will be having a Delica meet coming up at Peter's next Thursday - look under the Alberta Events. Would be great if you can stop in and meet some other Delica types. We will also be discussing our next off-road excursion - the last one was a blast!
Cheers!
