Hello! ...Again!

Post by audi4life20v »

I think I outta start seriously looking into saving/getting a loan for a Deli this winter. After mucking about with my Vw im now near the point of I NEED a new daily... That or I should properly wire the standalone but w/e... XD

That and after playing around with the Golf I need something slower... And lately I've been interested in doing some 4x4-ing in Alberta and camping would be nice too!
And reliability... I miss the turn key operation of a OEM vehicle. My current wiring job requires me to turn on the ignition box (MSD 8-) ) and plug in a ghettttooooo rigged Fuel Relay... So even If I wanted to go on a road trip Id be a tid scared too XD

On a side note, I was recently visiting Bc/washington for the Formula drift event and while being a tourist in Vancouver I spotted a White L400 with the after market fart canon on the back. Looked like an awesome Van! And I'd even rock that exhaust too.

So thats about it... Yup I think Ill start saving for a Delica after I get the clutch, turbo, and save some cash for winter tires for the Golf... As well as fix some wiring ect ect...

For those who are interested heres my Mk3. not quite a Delica but hey, It could theoretically haul 5 people at Mach 1 if It wasn't jammed to the brim with tools...

Behold! It started as a stock mk3 on steels and progressed to this in 6 months.
I swapped the 1.8L 8v with a 2.0L 8v w/ K24 turbo off an old TDI car. Running 10 psi now due to turbo issues but hope to run 15-18 with a new K24.
Slammed on FK Coil-overs, ghetto inter cooler mounted with zippy ties and the wiring job that wouldn't pass a safety from a mile away... Well it wouuld but its a piss poor job. 16x7 Konig's with Hancook 205/45.

All In all being just about 19 it was a great car to learn how or I should say what goes into a EFI system (MAP based)

I did destroy my white hood after my hood latch didnt catch with my eager maiden voyage drive.... XD And Its got no grill and the headlight busted... BUT IT RUNS!

I could squeeze another half an inch outta the front so I dont rub the top of the fender when turning but thats cutting it close XD
And I only have a good 2.5 inches of ground -> oil pan ...

I finally found a use for my fogs! With the poor lighting from the DOT code lights + broken/trimmed away housing these should help at night!

Well there you have it. I hope to get outta this "daily" and into a Deli sometime, cause If I still want one after a year of thinking about em It might be time to try.

Kyle.
