Migaloo From Australia

Post by Droopy »

Hello All.

Name's Drew and I got to visit your fine Country (Well BC anyway) back in 91'

Must say I loved Walking around GasTown and looking over Howe Sound (please pardon my Spelling if incorrect)

One day I have promised my kids that I will bring them over to your shore's

Anyway here is our beast "Migaloo" - For those who don't know "Migaloo" is the Aboriginal word for White Whale which is what we've got 8-)

G'day and welcome! Or should I say welcome back? I too have been to your country, seeing both Sydney and Adelaide (missed Perth and Darwin though, wasn't on those deployments) thanks to 'free' transportation provided by my Navy: loved it, going to have to come back on my own dime.

I've already seen your other post with the mods, so I won't ask for you to repeat them here. Did you install the chair lift yourself, or was there a company specializing in that sort of thing? In through the rear gate, I suspect? Also, do you have a double set of driving/fog lights on the bumper? Cool. I don't think we've seen that yet on any of the ones we've imported.

I still miss my '94 Pajero!

I'm pretty sure that is a series 2 bumper, so we will get ones like that in a couple of years. correct me if I'm wrong. :-D

Thanks for the comments...

The Wheelchair hoist is actually factory fitted in Japan by Mitsubishi. a certain % of manufacturers vehicle have to be "Welfare vehicles" so it was all done when I got it.

I am the 1st owner for it here in Aust.

Migaloo is actually a Series 3 hence the front bumper.
I'll try and find a pic to show the difference tween the 2 and 3.
