That tire size is very similar to a 31" tire which may fit, or may not fit without some front fender modifaction; cranking up torsion bars, removing mud flaps, and pounding down a fender seam. I have seen several Deli's recieve a 31" tire with no modifations what so ever.

Wheel sizes and the offset is a different story, but there is plenty of info around here about what works. viewtopic.php?t=257 and viewtopic.php?t=378

A buddy is 'donating' his tires off his new Dodge 1 ton so I'm on the look out for rims.

Cheers

i'm running 235/70s on 16 inch rims. Not sure of the offset although I think it's close to factory. I don't have mudflaps, but otherwise all seems to be intact e.g. nothing beaten flat and my torsion bars are adjusted so the vehicle sits level. However your tires in comparison are about 1.5 inches greater in diameter (see http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi) so depending on the previously mentioned considerations it may or may not fit.

Geesh, that's the most roundabout way of saying " I dunno." Can you tell I work for government?!

I know its not the topic, but Im pretty sure you can get a mvi inspection notice if you dont have rear mudflaps, even the cheapo crap from crappy tire will do, but I used to make compition buggys and off road rigs, and got pulled over and LUCKILY only warned about the mud flaps, I know you probably wont get pulled over for that, but if some pissy county mountie like the one who gave the bogus notice wants to look for problems and reasons to hastle you , mud flaps are all it takes to get pulled over .

Thanks for the tip, but why would I be required by law to have mudflaps?
What makes my situation different from many others?

this is one section of the law that actually makes sense... limits how much "stuff" your wheels throw at the drivers behind you... it's a good idea.

I understand the rationale behind mudflap requirements, but I did not know it was law.

Interesting as the vehicle was complianced and inspected within the past month or so.

Poor me, another trip to the parts shop ;)

Hey guys & gals, Technically all vehicles are required to have some form of mud flap, some are just a little piece of molding , but bottom line is that you are suposed to have them, and chances are you will not get pulled over , However if you happen to drive past or infront of one of the people that seem to have declared war on our right hand drives, like that cop on the sunshine coast who wrote that right hand drives are illegal, well he was wrong and admited that, but also said he would pull over the delica again, basicly if you have any sort of a lifted delica or larger tires you may get noticed , or you may not, for my money I would rather spend the $20bucks, even dress them up with the crome chicks on the backs lol, I am just trying to help keep us from getting pulled over for stupid things and getting an expensive inspection notice.

Another thing to add... every non-compliant vehicle out there reinforces the government's opinion that we're all non-compliant.

PLEASE do your fellow RHD owners a favour and make yourself compliant. it doesn't take much, and it gives the government less ammunition against the entire import community.

Imagine if EVERY RHD vehicle that got stopped was fully compliant... eventually they might give up stopping us!
