Hi Everyone!
My hubby & I have been intrigued by these vans for a couple years and we're thinking *now* is the time for us to get our very own :) I'm an artist and think that a Deli would make the perfect art-mobile traveling to and from shows since you can haul a whole lot of stuff in them.
We're set on getting one with the crystal lite roof, automatic transmission and we're thinking a 93 or 94 would be nice because of the water cooled turbo. We've heard that it gives a bit more power...any opinions on that? I also want the gadgets like the altimeter pod and cool box.
Having met Glen at CCAuto (awesome guy!) we're confident that whatever van we get it'll get the best spa treatment with him whenever needed.
I did have a question for the list. There is a 93 crystal in Richmond at VIB Motor Cars that we are thinking of making a trip out to see. I went through the dealer beefs & bouquets and noticed there was one person out there that wasn't happy with their experience giving them a negative rating. Anyone else have anything good/bad to say?
Thanks! and I'm looking forward to meeting some of you in person one day at a meet!
~Naomi

Hi there Naomi, Delicaman here in Cumberland BC. Good choice on the Delica. Of all the vehicles out there with a "Funky" disposition, the Delica wins. I've been a VW Westfalia owner for years and just got fed up with all the break downs. You won't experience that with the Delica. I've been working on Delicas for over 2 years and have landed about 8 of them for friends. I know all the potential problems you will face as well so feel free to ask. I'll be opening up an Import shop in Cumberland in Mid July to do Delica Sales and some service. Just going through the Lengthy process to get the dealer licence. Come check us out in July. Comox Valley Delica Auto Imports Ltd.
Cheers

Hi Naomi,
Welcome to the Delica Community.
As you are an artist, how about painting the outside of your Delica also, there is a camper rental in England that graffiti paints their rental delica's, my favourite is the Doctor Who theme.

I also sent you a PM (Private Message, click on the "new messages" icon near the login/logout icon).

Wow thanks for sending that website, very cool! It's definitely something I've thought about doing as it will be my art-mobile to travel to shows. Guess I have to practice up with a spray can ;)TardisDeli wrote:
