Hello all,
Can anyone recommend a reliable roll-on / roll-off shipper from Tokyo to Vancouver? Any pointers on the process would also be helpful, as in who exactly to contact, how much I can expect to pay, documents the shipper will require, that sort of thing. Our time frame is for the Delica to leave Tokyo around 1st week July, assuming a 12-day sail to Vancouver. We don't have a large margin for error on this, because we'll be arriving in Vancouver in late July, and we need to get the vehicle on the road quickly for the ride back east.
Very much appreciate any advice you may have.
Regards,
Ian

Re: Recommendation for roll-on / roll-off shipping?
Roll-on/Roll-off shipping is very hard to come by recently, and especially so on any form of definite schedule, vehicles that do manage to get a spot are often "bumped" to make room for brand new vehicles as the shipping companies have agreements with the major manufacturers.
If you must have the vehicle in Canada by a specific time and can't afford the uncertainty of RO/RO you really should look in to container shipping.

Thanks for that Green1. I may well have to go with a container then. The thing is, as part of my move package, I get container shipping free, but it goes all the way to Ottawa. Seems silly to go through all that container cost / hassle on my own. Anyway, if I do find something that looks reliable, I will let you all know.
