Mitsu in trouble?

Post by patriceboivin »

According to 24/7 Wall Street, the Mitsubishi Motors company may not survive the mileage tampering controversy.
From what I read it sounds like they did it for the kei cars, we don't have any of those in Canada (for no valid reason IMHO -- thanks Transport Canada for looking after Canadians again :? ), but in North America the media and politicians don't know anything about or care about the automotive industry.

What do you think?

I thought it was bizarre to begin with that Mitsu Motors refused to sell the Delica, L200 and Pajero in North America, then canceled the Evolution. Now this. Maybe they need to cull their Mitsu Motors executives and regain some sense of direction? I don't know. :-(

It’s definitely been a rough patch for Mitsubishi. The controversy over mileage tampering is damaging, especially when you think about the brand’s history of innovative models like the Delica and Pajero. It's puzzling that they pulled out of the North American market and canceled iconic models, especially the Evolution. It's possible that they need a leadership shake-up to focus on long-term strategies and regain some trust in their brand. Hopefully, they can turn things around!
