hey,

wondering if anyone can tell me what these wires might be. i notoced them hanging this morning. they are at the back of the t-case and come down around from the drives side to the passenger side and i am unable to see where they may have come off of. its not the best picture but it was the best i could do while at work.

I will get better pics later today but thought I would at least throw it out there. Ive been having a few strange cooling issues and im wondering if possibly its some sort of control line for the torque converter perhaps?

Hard to say, but if they are in the vacinity of the transfer case they could be used to illuminate the 4wd light on the dash when you shift the transfer case lever. I doubt they have anything to do with cooling, but all of that mud and dirt might be contributing to the cooling issues if it is all over the radiator and such.

I'm guessing 4wd sensor. I asked a similar question several months ago with a picture (less brown dust) and got that answer. I haven't fixed it yet. I get the green "WHEEL LOCK" when 4x4 is engaged, but I think there should be another light coming on if that wire is fixed.

I agree with the others: those bullet terminals are used on the 4WD sensor switch wiring, and those wires do fatigue at the switch and fall off if they're not supported properly. I'm guessing either your 4WD or Hub Lock lights don't work.

Also, that amount of dirt is freaking out my OCD. I am totally judging you right now. ;-)
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
