EGR blanking plates

So I have been looking at the latest threads about the EGR, and it seems that everybody is still happy with blanking them. On my side, when I cleaned up my EGR, power went up, much easier morning start, but lately, it came back just like it was, not as much power, hard start and going up hills the temp is going to the roof. So I don't think I will go again in the trouble of removing the EGR and cleaning it up. So now I am thinking of blanking it. I have read a few issues about blanking them, but I am ready to give it a shot.
So where can I get the whole kit to blank it? Cannot find anyone that sells all the parts needed to blank it, gaskets included.
Whoever sell this kit, could you please contact me or anyone direct me to the right place?

Just make them use the old gaskets as a pattern and make them out of 1/4" steel use high temp silicone on the old gaskets and red locktite on the bolts
Total job should be about 2-3 hours

Tools required hacksaw, drill, scrib or black marker to make pattern, and a file to clean up edges

In case that fails, I believe RichD is the go to person for blanking kits.

Also, keep in mind that those same symptoms could be caused by turbo problems, clogged injectors, etc. Hopefully it is just the EGR but in the event that it isn't there are a few things to think about.

I bought mine from eBay UK. In the end I think it cost about $15-$20 CAN. That included shipping.

One more thing, is any of you took the manifold off and have it cleaned up by any chance? Because when I removed the EGR last time to clean it, I noticed a whole lot of gunk inside. Should I not worry about this or would it make a difference?

Personally I would just leave it...Not too sure... but if you knock a chunk of carbon off and down the hole it might damage your turbo.

Plus the intake and exhaust gaskets are one piece means you would have to pull both off if you remove one.

Well the manifold is post turbo, so nothing should go towards the turbo, just get sucked, or in fact pushed, down into the engine.

I took the manifold off and cleaned it. Just make sure that you do the job thoroughly and follow the procedure. My manifold had an oil build-up on all the walls, which makes the air passage just a fraction narrower. The difference is not huge but for me it was worth the effort. But that's just me.
