Hey All,
I'm looking to see how crazy I am.
I love my Delica L400 (series 2).
Recently It was diagnosed with low compression in a cylinder. So we're looking at a possible rebuild in the area of 10k.
This has started me thinking on two different fronts. Is it a better option to try and find a different motor? or perhaps a different power plant style.
Has anyone done an electric conversion? I was specifically thinking along the lines of a small gas or diesel generator straight to an electric motor. Haven't decided if its a good idea to keep or loose the transmission. If the transmission went goodbye, it'd go straight into the transfer case.
This is still an idea I'm just kicking around and researching. Just looking for some outside opinions
