Curtain Sliders to Give Away with Skill Testing Question

Post by docsavage »

I have 5 batches of ten curtain sliders to give away. It is nice to have a few extras around. In order to get your package, you have to answer the following:

The town of Houston, BC (where I live) is famous for having 2 of the largest things in Canada (used to be the world). If you can name the two things I will send you 10 factory curtain sliders. I'll provide two hints; it not my Delica, and one is where I work (I think I mentioned that somewhere in a post)

PM me your answers. I'll announce the 5 winners when I get answers, however, I won't be back in my office till the afternoon.

Good luck

James

Holy Cow you guys move fast, I haven't even left my office yet and we got five winners. The answers are:

Largest Fly Rod - Those damn Texans built one bigger now.
Largest Sawmill - It is no longer the largest in terms of capacity (A German complex wins that honour), but it is the largest sawmill in the world under one roof.

The winners are: jfarsang, konadog, profister, flexboi, and missy. I believe konadog is willing to regift his sliders, so maybe he will post a trivia question for someone.

James

PS. the winners need to send me there addresses and I'll mail out tomorrow.

I'll piggy back here, I'm still looking for curtains (for beige color scheme) or the things that go in the tracks so I can have some made. I'm also looking for rear curtain rails and behind the seat rails although I dont think there is much chance of finding any.

For the 'behind the front seats' rail, I just went to Sears or Walmart and picked up a small spring loaded curtain rod and it jams perfectly up into the ceiling from side to side, and the wife made a curtain to fit. Works like a charm and stays put.

Another good idea. OK, for the last set of sliders, what is the longest cave on Vancouver Island? :-)

Thanksgiving cave, but I'll pass unless they come with the wee things that slide inside them.

:o

I think someone needs to update Vancouverisland.com then. They state that Thanksgiving cave is the longest at 7.6 Km and that there are a few others that are 2+ km.

I'll say that 'Weymer Cave System' is the longest then... but if it is a system does that count?

Yeah, well...

Close enough - In the Weymer area Skypot / Slot Canyon (two caves that were later joined in the longest cave here - there are a number of other entrances as well) is about 13 km. #2 is the Arch / Treasure system (again two caves that were joined) at about 10 km.
So then dfnder, since you also have no need for the sliders, I guess it's your play - What's the next trivia question? :-D :M
