D5 signal lights

i no longer have contrl of my signal lights. they mostly do not work,sometimes if i toggle the arm back and forth they will come on briefly but then fizzle out before i actually turn.
also if i am in cruise control and try to out turn signal on, it cuts off my cruise.

all fuses are ok, wiring is intact.

does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be, mechanic could not figure it out.
