coming back to this after several months driving and camping all over BC in my delica. Put a roof top tent on which greatly frees up the rest of the vehicle for gear. Also got a euro Fiamma bike carrier. Everything mechanically is still great, no issues at all. Oh and it is great in the snow with 4WD with falcon at3 tires.
