Where to get a muffler replaced on the Lower Mainland

Post by cd_photo »

Hey again everyone,

The guts are gone out of my muffler but the pipe is still good. Yet all I can find to replace it with stock is a $400+ muffler assembly which just seems like too much and costs even more to have shipped to the Interior. I'm coming down to Vancouver next month and am hoping to get this taken care of. Can anyone recommend a good place to go to get a muffler replaced or a good alternate exhaust setup done?

Thanks

Colin

I went to Hoegler's Muffler City in Richmond last fall.
I did the Magna Flow pipe with 2.5" all the way to a side exit. Increased flow and volume + plus a bit of noticeable vibration. All for around $350.

It definitely improved performance. They have done many Deli's so are familiar with our rigs. I would suggest contacting them ahead of time to make sure they have stock and can slot you in.

Thanks for tip. I phone Hoeglers and they have some availability when I'm there. I'm definitely interested in the 2.5" with Magna Flow and he quoted me the same, about $350. But I forgot to mention it's an L400. I wonder if that would make a difference. And does anyone happen to know if there are any potential problems to changing up the stock system to something modified like this?

Hey Stever,

I didn't end up going, as I ran out of money after my trip to CVI. I finally ended up getting a new exhaust put on at Coombs in May for $325!

Best,

C

Did Coombs install the factory exhaust or was it a custom job?

They have them in stock at their shop and just install them straight up. Here's the link - http://www.ccautos.ca/exhaust/
