could you provide some details about your "essential" camping item in the photo how does it attach? and do you have to remove it when you close the door?

To the left and right of the mosquito screen, there are strips of sticky-back Velcro. Over the top lip, an elastic strip in the fabric. Around the lower section, there are little super magnets sewn in about every 8". It's arranged so that there is no interference with closing the door, if needed. Works fine!
