L400 injection pump parts

Post by mac_stang »

Does anyone have a parted out IP? My Cold start lever(throttle positioning actuator) has broken off, I have no way to adjust my cold start rpm...stuck at 400rpm.

Any help or suggestions of where to look are appreciated.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea considering availability of the parts...

A diesel/injection place should be able to get parts if you give them the number off your pump. These things are pretty universal.

Brad,

Will adjusting the throttle cable helps ? Do it when the van is warm though.

Thanks for the idea David, but sadly no, if I adjust the cable enough to increase idle at start....it ends up idling at 1500+rpm when warm.
I need to replace this part. I'm getting pretty sick of chasing my tail with this van, went in because of a stalling problem, now it doesn't idle high enough for a smooth start and basically is spewing fuel out the tail pipe. Thanks for the idea though.
