Well that is *beeping* annoying...
I keep having strange electrical issues. My fog lights work about 10% of the time. My 12v accessory charger is dead, but the fuses are fine.
And just now, the lovely reverse beep warning started going off whenever I press the brake pedal.
Any idea why this would be the case?

Likely sources of your electrical gremlins:
Fog/driving lights: weak/faulty fog light relay switch located under the hood in the relay/fuse block or
Bad ground for the light(s) or dirty connection(s) inside the dash switches. If you don't know which relay it is PM me your email and I can send you a pic of the english translated fuse covers.
12v accessory charger: bad connection (ground ?)
Beeping reverse: Check the shift interlock switch that requires the brake pedal to be pressed before you can shift out of park. It could be faulty. Look under the dash as its located at the brake pedal arm.

For the accessory plug check the back of it Mr. Mitsubshi has installed a fusible link to it to burnout and drive you crazy finding what's gone wrong

Ah, these are all brilliant suggestions.
I have been going slowly mad with the electrical problems of late.

I could not find the answer...
Until I found this on the Oz forum:

I think that is the ticket. Now to find the short.

Nope, that still isn't it.
Interesting though, when my doors are locked the beeper stays on no matter what I do. Unlock them? And the beeper only sounds when pressing the brake or actually in reverse.
Of course, my locks engage at 20 km/h....

Re: Well that is *beeping* annoying...
Well, I found that if I disconnect my rear light clusters on the gate that control the reverse lights that it DOES NOT beep when the brake is applied. Reverse still beeps normally.
However, hooking up either one of the reverse light clusters will cause it to beep when the brake is applied.
Any ideas?

check the condtion of the wires to the tailgate in the rubber boot, you could have a couple of breaks/shorts in there? my old dorf galaxy was prone to breaks /shorts in the looms where the cables entered the tailgate and doors! they would cause all sorts of problems! you would hit the brake pedal and the rear wiper would fire up! or the brake lights would come on as you flicked the heated screen

Yep, it was a break in the wiring harness right where the rear hatch opens. The break was hidden by the boot, once I found it and repaired it the short was gone!
