Best source for brake parts?
My 1999 Series 2 L400 uses 1994 Montero calipers. Not sure that helps, but worth a look.

Best source for brake parts?
I just replaced the Front Pads on my 1995 L400 PE8W (diesel) with Raybestos EHT 530H from Lordco. They were not cheap $100+. It seems like an item they have in stock. At least at their location on E 2nd in Mt. Pleasant. Napa also has them... or at least an equivalent.

Re: Best source for brake parts?
Hey all, I am having difficulty finding replacement rear calipers. They do not seem to be as available as front calipers. I have been buying front calipers for 1996 Montero from Lordco and they match perfectly.
I am wondering if:
a) Montero rear calipers fit/match Delica L400?
b) What is a good online parts supplier for these?
I am in Vancouver, here are the two parts that I have sourced:
Rear Left: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... &jsn=11863
Rear Right: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... &jsn=11865
Any help/support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Marcel

Re: Best source for brake parts?
I just used the same calipers in my 2002 L400. They worked. One of the calipers came with the wrong clips/brake hardware so I reused the old ones for that side. The brake line port is angled a little differently from the oem calipers but they work. Just make sure you install the upper bolt before hooking up the brake line. IIRC I had to assemble the rh side(pads, bracket, caliper) then thread the caliper onto the brake hose. ...Thinkng back, I probably wouldn't have had to do it that way if I hadn't jacked up on the diff, maybe lifting on the "frame" would have let the diff drop and get some clearance?Mjnewell88 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 12:52 pm Hey all, I am having difficulty finding replacement rear calipers. Re: Best source for brake parts?
Hello,
Does anyone knows if ABS calipers will fit on a L400 95 diesel (superexceed, crystal roof)? I don't see the ABS light ont the dash when starting the van but not sure if the light is dead of its likely that the L400 wasn't equiped with ABS.
I'm looking to change the front calipers and hope to buy some from coombs auto but theirs are for L400 with ABS. So I wonder if ABS caliper can fit on a non-abs equiped L400?
Thanks!

Re: Best source for brake parts?
If you have abs you'll have wheel speed sensors at each wheel with wires leading to them. I don't think calipers or rotors differ depending on abs or non-abs as the caliper is just a hydraulic piston with no wiring going to it. You could just ask coombs, I'm sure they'd be able to give you a better answer.
