We're heading up friday morning.
Going to showcase the WVO veggie system.
If anyone is looking to get away from the rain and clouds the fraser valley area is being plagued with, feel free to convoy or just head off into that general direction (interior).
Forecast is sun and warm weather.

Try headin up east harrison and through kookipi, its a gorgeous road. The slide they talk about was no prob when I went through at the end of last August (slide happened in june I think). I don't know snow conditions right now though, should be fine but this year was so crazy for lasting snowpack. If you go that way you can always take a detour to have a soak in the clear creek tubs. Maybe better to try it on the way back seeing that any blockages would be at the beginning of the trip so there would be less backtracking if there is a problem.

the pictures are too large for this site so here's the link
We were the only wvo vehicle which was a big disappointment. Even the L300 from Powell River was not on veg. Plus they were running a generator the whole time. Hypocriticizers !

never mind.. i see from the photo who it is.. thats the delica that delivers my organic groceries every week! (although not lately, my groceries come from my garden) both the people in the photo are good friends of mine!
for the most part powell river has been slow to convert to wvo. which is ironic because the kits, the installer, and the oil is available here..

They liked the veg setup.
Next year if we go, they will showcase whichever WVO rig we have at the main stage and I'll hopefully have Ed's blessing via plantdrive for some demo gear and a booth to promote running on veg since there were a good number of oil burners there with sparked interest.
Resized pics to appease the delica lord.
Went to a little eco festival called 'Towards Eden' that was promoting renewable resources. It was a little too 'hippyish' for my taste but fun nevertheless.
Some great painters, artists, artisans and healers. A really interesting mix of humans.
What surprised me was that we had the only WVO vehicle there. To me, having all these vehicles drive out in the middle of the bush to promote renewable resources by burning off a ton of fuel was a bit hypocritical.
Veg power !
There was a Delica in the group serving coffee. They were from Powell River but alas, no veggie conversion on their rig.
Main Stage area
Main Stage area with some cool bicycle-powered juice.
Battery banks stored the harnessed energy from the sun via solar panels/wind props and the bicycle-powered generators.
Lots of LED lights all around the stage areas/forest that lit up at night giving a cool feel when walking about
Not much for workshops/promoting renewable resources but here was a little DIY setup
No garbage was left over which was good.
Lots of yoga and mystical stuff

"too hippieish" for you.. just right for me! so many of the same artists and performers (many of whom are my friends) were also at Diversity. im pushin 40, so i the Feather Hats and Leather Belts are not my thing, but the attitude to create and share at a fest like this is me.
did you like the music (btw: i got your robert plant cd kickin' around, which might answer my question...)

Music was great ! Especially pepe the one man band. That guy has ten arms !
Funny about that CD . It's been passed from unsuspecting deli owner to unsuspecting deli owner. Originated from Joe I believe

No Towards Eden this year
from Facebook:
Erin Sage Sharp
Thank you so much, everyone, for the interest and continuing support....we are so happy to do what we are doing!
Alas, there will not be a three day 2012 Towards Eden Festival, as we saw it last year.
There are a number of reasons for this.
We are working very hard on becoming a self-sustainable operation, capable of initiating events of all sizes, as well as being of service to other event producers by providing Renewable Energy Power and Sound, consultation and more.....and this is going to require a lot of time and energy over the coming year.
We would love to host another large weekend festival in 2013, and will have a good idea about this at the end of the 2012 summer.
Please do apply for that possible event, at this same time next year.
But DO NOT DESPAIR!! We are not going away :]
Seriously, stay tuned folks.....we will be involved in ALL SORTS of interesting escapades this coming year :]
Bless Up and BIG love to you all...

Re: Towards Eden July 22-24 - Eco green festival Nahatlatch
The black over silver L300 occupants were a painter/artisan and he was with an asian lady from the lower mainland. They had a display near the Micro-Farming display. That's all the info I got and that they were blending wvo.
Anyone recognize them or are they on the board here?
I thought the reception on this forum would have been greater than one. This is right up the L300 in nature alley.
