September Deli 4x4 Meet

Post by Erebus »

I'll start this thread early. I'm proposing a trip similar to the one done September of last year (2010).

Since I will be in the McLean Creek / Moose Mountain area for the Bow-80 Mountain bike race that will take place on Sunday 18 September, why don't we do a 4x4 day on Saturday 17 Sept?

I can probably arrange for some camping spaces overnight Sat too. I don't know the trails well enough to organize the 4x4 part, but I can do the rest of the logistics.

I figured giving a long lead time should help people make plans.

I am definitely game if my schedule works out. Sounds like this will be a good time. I do hope that someone is familiar with the trails back there... I would really like to break in the 4X4 on my Deli.

Worse case, we follow the same trails we did last year. I have the GPS tracks, so it is easy to do.

I still consider it a go, since the Bow-80 bike race is still a go for the Sunday. Thanks for reminding me to ask about camping. There are certainly campground around there, but I might be able to score some free camping. If I haven't posted an answer in a few days, PM me to remind me to find out.

I'm working to keep my schedule clear for the 17th and should be able to come out for the day.

Looking forward to it!

We should probably rendezvous at the Coop on Richmond Road (NE of the Sarcee/Glenmore/Hwy8 intersection), like last time. But we can do a second rendezvous in Bragg Creek (last chance for coffee, etc.) so people like John don't have to come to Calgary first.

I would like to meet up. What time would everyone be meeting at the co-op? The wife wants to go mountain biking but we would to join you for part of the day.
