Vica-Delican gathering near Cook Street Village - 13th December

Oceaneer77 suggested we get together again before the holiday season, so I thought sometime during the first two weeks of December was in order. This would be a good opportunity for those who missed the recent gathering to come out and chat with the rest of us. Who knows, maybe one or two of the Mainlanders might show up again this time...

As for the 'coffee-talks' I figure this is better than trying to coordinate a camping/driving trip at this time of year. If anyone else is hardy enough to want to do that, maybe I'll think up something in the new year.

Anyway, the address is 345 Cook Street and I'm thinking we could 'line em up' like we did last time. Either along the street or in the lot would be best (that way we could walk around our rigs). I'll remember to bring what I have left of my stock of Mistumaples. Use the voting buttons (and you can change your mind if you need to). I'll stop the voting a week before the first selectable day so I can make the announcement.

I'll watch the day that gets picked and make a point of getting down to Victoria and to the meet. Nice part of town - We can park and ride with dogs through the old town and scope the gardens and do a bit along the Dallas Rd. seaside (hope the weather is OK :? ) while we're in the neighbourhood. See ya there :-D :M

Point of interest for any mainlanders thinking about going to this meet ~ the ferry prices will be going down for the months of December & January. How much? I do not know off hand.

Falco.

niiice, a meet on home turf!

suggestion: Coffee/Foodstuffs at Moka house then make the short trip to the aforementioned Clover point/Dallas Rd. Dog park....Hell, I see one or more Delicas there every time I go anyhow.

So, it's looking like the 13th is shaping up to be the preferred day. Still a couple of weeks left to make a selection, and plenty of time for others to join up. Would be great if we could get a dozen vans out for this one - I know there are at least that many Delicas around here.

Maybe we could beat that big meet in Vancouver earlier in the year, at the Mickie Dees - how many were there? 9? 11? Something like that... (yes, I'm ribbing the Lower Mainland crew)

So what time works well for everyone intending to come? Say, 13h or do we want to make it something a little earlier in the day?

I like the idea of bringing the dogs. We could park alongside the playground area, that would be close to the coffee shop and then we wouldn't have to repark when we go to walk the dogs. Whose bringing dogs, anyway? I got two.

Those aren't dogs, they're little runts you trip over (tee hee, just kidding Paul!) now my two, those are dogs!!

Before noon is better for us, always lots to do on a Saturday.

Rats - we can't make it now. Hazelnut got an opening to get some long awaited surgery on her shoulder a couple of days prior so will still be taking it easy at home. Not sure Kona-Dog is quite ready for the off-leash park yet anyway... :? We are working everyday on his recall though and he has sharpened up dramatically. Wish he could met Teddy. Great little dog you got there Marameisto! Anyway, sorry we'll miss out :-( :M

Anytime works for me. We should try and leave it up to those from out of town (if any are still coming)
