Looking for Help/Info in buying a Delica L300

Hello Everyone
New to this so I would really appreciate some advice.
Looking at purchasing a L300 as budget is tight.
Want to look at using it as a camper/vacation vehicle
Not expecting a long list from people but what are some things to watch for when purchasing one. i.e. what to look for that has been done, what can I expect to do at certain KMs etc. What to clearly stay away from...Just want to be sure I don't want to buy someone else's ex-money pit
i'm fairly mechanical, so I can handle most repairs (don't like touching engine internals tho etc.)
Any advice would be appreciated
