Good Day !
The research begins !! I have admired Delicas for over a decade and finally Im in a position to not have to ask my partner for permission !
Life begins now. A little bit about me , avid outdoorsman who enjoys mountain biking , trail running , camping and backpacking. I have a month off this summer and want to get back out in my province and reacquaint myself with the beautiful province I live in and I want to do it in a Delica. Long term plan once I get to know these vehicles is to drive one down into South America for a sabbatical ! Where do I start ??? My intention is to go and speak to Glenn White at Coombs Country Auto in Errington/Coombs in the coming weeks. This site will have a wealth of info on models , whats good whats bad and what to look for I realize it will just take time and patience. Any advice for the rookie ?? The intention will be to camperize it to make it comfortable on longer trips but it will be used as a daily driver / commuter 50K a day two weeks out of the month ! Thanks in advance for anyone who can steer me generally the right direction - for now I will study the topics !! Cheers

Coombs county is a good place to start. Read, take advice, don't get emotional and wait for the right vehicle.

Hey, I am from the sunshine coast! Im not too far away. I have exactly what you are looking for. I bought a delica for the same purpose. Camperize it so its super mobile but yet use it as a commuter here and there. I'm at a point where I can't afford 2 cars and sadly need to pass it along to someone who will love it and have amazing adventures! It is in great shape and has an already built-in conversion kit that is so easy to use/remove and still allows for 5 people to comfortably travel when installed! The Delica is a 1996 Jasper with just 204,000km on it. Let me know if youd want to meet up on the coast! Hope youre enjoying that sun today for once :D
