Hello from Seattle, Washington U.S.A.

Post by desertbob250 »

Hello everyone,
This is my first post. I just bought my first Delica L300 today! I can't get it into the U.S.A. in tell June 1st 2015. I have everything setup to pick it up June 2nd. I can't wait! I bought it from Amazing Auto Imports. I'm looking forward to being a part of this forum.

Hey Bob!

I just joined myself. In Seattle as well. I'm lusting after an L300 after a trip to Victoria and seeing them on every street corner. Did you buy one of the ones listed on the Seattle Craigslist? This one looks so great: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/5011763570.html

I'm excited for you! I'd love to hear about the import process and any issues you ran into.

Hi Bob,

I'm in Seattle and bought my Delica in 2013. I'm putting together a meet this fall. You can PM me or post here.

Hey Bob! I remember seeing that one on Craigslist when it was available. Love the color scheme! How was your experience with Amazing auto imports? I've been shopping around trying to find the best place to import an L300 from. Enjoy your new ride. Can't wait to get my hands on one!

Those graphics are sweeet! Totally stealing them for my van. In green, though.

Can anyone comment on their experience with Amazing Auto?

The question was asked several times but never answered.

Step 1, buy a vinyl plotter/cutter.
Step 2, buy Vinyl.
Step 3, draw design in Illustrator.

I haven't quite got around to step 1 yet, but it'll happen. ;-)

Or... you could go to a sign shop; show them the picture; show them your Delica; let them measure your dimensions; give them some money. I bet it's cheaper than purchasing a plotter. Incidentally, you can also buy them from Mitsubishi ~ I know that a complete set of my Chamonix decals (see picture below) from Mitsubishi, Japan were $800.00(Cdn) in 2008.

Almost certainly cheaper, but where's the fun in that?! ;-)

I'll tell you one thing (again): If I'm buying a plotter, I doubt very much I'd be making lines... probably a fire breathing dragon, a really mean looking one like Smaug!
