Hello all, Found these sites to help me understand the process of bringing in a Delica from Canada to the US. Hope you find them helpful.
The first is an importer that allows you to search a frame/chassis number (in theory). Unsure of accuracy, but it's the only thing I've found that even seems to work, including on this forum.

The second explains that JDM vehicles do not have a VIN, only a frame or chassis number.

Re: Delica production dates and VIN info
Nice find. The VIN is the frame or chassis number, just different wording for the same thing.
Go to the "Delica FAQ Section" and into the thread "Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes." Take a gander through there, lot's of useful links, in particular ~ The JDM Online Catalogue. Same basic idea as your site but with a little more detail.
The Delica FAQ Section also has other useful threads such as "L300 Vehicle Identification", which will assist you to interpret the code that goes along with the VIN.
