Thanks for the video :) Now, can you tell us more about how you fixed the RTT to you Van ? 4 or 6 Legs (2-3 cross bars) ? How about Legs (foots) height ? Brand ? Is your setup stable while driving, with crosswinds ?

Hum, wonder what both of you are doing when dissapear from screen

Lapprentis, I built the roof rack myself out of aluminium and sweat! I have tested it to about 900 lbs or so without and problems. I have 4 support posts on each side and maybe 6 cross bars. The RTT is attached with the attachment system that came with the tent. Here is a link to my project thread, it shows the rack without the tent on it with a bit of a write-up and pictures of how its all attached to the van.

As for crosswind and stuff... I can't say it has much more aerodynamic disadvantage than the L300 already has!! But the L300 is a tank and hold the road pretty good in the wind. The only time i have really struggled with the van in wind is when you are in a cross-wind and semi trucks pass by, and you get that momentary break in the wind where the van swerves toward the other lane!! Always fun. But the rack weighs in at about 40 lbs and the tent is maybe 110, so its not too top heavy, but that being said there was one time while I was 4x4ing that i felt like I was about to tip it over while on a burm, but it was just a feeling and all tires stayed on the floor!! Having weight on the top makes a guy think twice!

Nice setup! What happened to your canoe and I don't see any Mitsumaple flags. If you didn't get yours from Big-Bird I still have a few.

lrp374, I sold the canoe after I got the roof top tent. It was a bit TOO tall to put on top the tent. I bought my self a convertible advanced elements kayak inflatable!! Its awesome and I highly recommend them! So i store the kayak on the roof rack infant of the RTT (perfect fit).

As for stickers.... I told somebody in a thread that I wanted like 8 of them, but then I sort of lost track of that thread and no one PM'd me about them getting made. I suppose I should see if B Bird still has them. If not Ill take the ones off you!! I really need one or two on my van! It will make me feel like I'm in a gang.

I have a few Mitsu Maples left. LRP took delivery of 16. Mark: The owner/operator of this forum took 50 which was part of the forum order...and he was supposed to post them before Canada Day....(HEY MARK!!!!!)

I have about a dozen left for sale and can easily have more made if needed.

They are very popular among the Mitsu JDM crowd in Calgary too. I sold a few to some Lancer Evo's owners. They love em!

The tent is made by Tepui Tents. I found mine used on Kajiji, but here is their website.

http://tepuitents.com

And the awning is an ARB 1500. In my opinion, ARB is the best awning on the market (and I have looked!!). It also has a mosquito room that attaches to the awning for when the bugs get too bad!! Luckily, I didn't have to use it this year!!

When I clicked on the vid it told me that "This video contains content from WMG. It is restricted from playback on certain sites. Watch on YouTube.". I watched it on YouTube no problem. Great set up Nordo.
