A little different offering for the club: my novel just came out, published by Dundurn Press (not self published). It's had great reviews, and is a fast-paced Canadian historical adventure based in early 1800s. My book's website is

You could do worse as a great xmas present.
Since I'm local, I could even sign your copy if you like.

Right On Rattlenbang! I'm impressed. I'll stroll on down to Indigo and take a gander. Will you be holding and book signings in the Lower Mainland?
Falco.

Quite likely. It just came out a week ago and bookstores are insanely busy, and not likely to hold any book signings until the new year. I'd also like to set up a couple here on the Island.

That's so wicked! Did you arrange that? The local library here in Vic has ordered it as well. I love the title of your book, BTW!

Thanks everyone. What's strange though is the Winnipeg Library isn't carrying it, and the story is part of Manitoba History. I wanted to suggest they bring it in, but only card-carrying locals can make such a suggestion. So we can read about this history here in Victoria BC, but not folks in Winnipeg. *facepalm*

Just put a hold on "A Dark and Promised Land" at the Coquitlam Library.
Looks like a good read.

Awesome. It's been getting fantastic reviews so far at 4.9 out of 5. People really seem to be enjoying it.

That's a better score than the dentists give.

... Four out of five dentists... Not to worry, just my weak attempt at wit.
Congratulations on the reviews.
Falco.
