Re: Tool Box suggestions?

I don't carry a lot of tools on me on a daily basis, but when I'm going somewhere for more than a day or 2, I usually take the basics: metric wrenches 3/8" ratchet and metric sockets(deep&shallow) 3/8" extensions combination wrench 2 Phillips screwdrivers plastic rivet removal tool oil...

a better replacement would be an odyssey.
I replaced my duels with a single about 4 years ago and haven't looked back since.

Re: Front end grinding noise

I personally haven't done it, but from what I understand dry ice is very good for replacing races. it is very cold, but it takes some time. in the end, it probably takes less time then pounding them in. you could just go out and buy a lisle race driver, and pound them in yourself. having the right t...

Re: Delica 1998 V6 - mitsubishi multi communication system

factory nav? is it built into the dash or bolted on top? I'd like to see more pictures please! :)

looks like it could be a cool mod; to swap the Japanese version out for a tablet of some kind. how big is the screen?

Rear Brake Parts

Tessen's brakes need work. I'm currently sourcing part # for my L300, all around. I found the numbers for front parts on the Wiki, but not the rears. Can someone please give me the part numbers for L300 Brake shoes and cylinders for both sides? I looked on the Wiki and all I could find was the drums...

Good Okanagan Camp sites

Triumph73 started a thread for campsites, and as tempted as I was to post a few sites, he was interested in Lower Mainland sites only. in the spirit of his great idea, I thought I'd start a thread for the Okanagan. the camping season is upon us! :-D please recommend a camp site in the Okanagan that ...

Re: Aluminum swing out tire carrier

I also have a pretty heavy steel rear carrier. I've been thinking of redesigning it as well. using steel for the bottom for collision protection and the pivot, and using aluminum for the top part that holds the tire. this way you save some weight, but the steel in the bottom is still strong enough t...

Re: cheap rust hole filler?

IMO, if you really love your van, don't go cheap.
get someone to do the heavy work, like the welding, and do the rest yourself.
if you go cheap, you will regret it when the rust reappears under your cheap repairs.
it will cost more, but IMO, it will be worth it.

Re: Summer fixin' plans

this is a job I have been putting off for a very long time; too long. :-( because my access to a sandblaster is limited at best, I'm thinking of sourcing another front and removing my brushguard. this way I can still drive my van while I get the blasting and rockguarding done and swap everything ove...

Re: Why don't people like Delicas in Alberta ?

I think the big issue is the 'parts and service' problems associated with them.
even here in the Okanagan parts aren't a common thing, and finding a garage that will actually work on them is something else.
this is probably the only thing that make people think twice about buying a delica.
