Re: please help troubleshoot!
ok well, white smoke can also indicate incomplete combustion, of a proper amount of fuel (as opposed to black smoke..too much fuel) - check compression - replace or rebuild injectors - ensure the glow plugs are all good, and new enough the tips are not eroded, and that the 6V post-glow function that...

White smoke can be caused by a number of things, including insufficient fuel supply.

Re: please help troubleshoot!
I don't use electric pumps unless I have to. They are generally more trouble than they are worth. They are one more thing to fail, and in cold weather gell up inside, work too hard, burn out, etc. When we do have to use them is where an electric lift pump was used on the system originally. On the De...

I've bought a newer car, just not using this for camping or 4x4, etc. and not hauling as much stuff as I used to. I think I have had it on a major logging road once, other than that, pavement. White high roof. "Star Wagon" Custom aluminum tank, 3 port valves, VM2 filter, vacuum gauge for f...

Re: WVO straight into Delica
I disagree - 15% should be the max even in warm weather. Just because it starts ok does not mean you are not going to end up with problems from coked injectors, stuck rings, etc. And 15% or so is hardly worthwhile. Just spend the $899 on a 2T-SD60 kit, put it on yourself, and run 100% (after warmup ...

L300 Air filter is Wix 42222 or NAPA 2222
Maybe this is well known, maybe not.
Anyway, it's the same...used on John Deere 4 cyl. etc.

Re: WVO install question: Injector pump lines
RE: adaptors, we send 5/16" to 3/8" adaptors out with the 2T-SD kits, and they work with the return lines on the Japanese and other small vehicle return lines, lube the fittings with Canola oil and you can get the returns on there. All fittings are a lot easier to work with if you put some...

Re: Having a custom trailer hitch made...
I had a steel bumper made up from rectangular material, 1 x 4" approx, with small 1 1/4" lightest duty receiver. Then had it powder coated. I like it, but make no claims for its strength. I think the small receiver is a good idea, it will keep me or anyone else from hooking on to anything ...

Re: Coast to coast on a tank of diesel...?
Torie is still in Canmore. He commutes to Calgary with a TDI Jetta, converted with a PlantDrive kit, and with the custom aluminum tank that we sell for those. That's the one that allows owners to carry the full sized spare (tank and spare are in a recess in the tank, tank is in the original well), h...
