TPS information, having trouble.

I'm struggling with my TPS tuning and smooth shifting. My van is shifting well all the way into 4th while accelerating and holds 4th gear when cruising at 80 Km/hr and above. Once I back off just enough to slowly decelerate to 70 or less, it downshifts into 3rd. I am not backing off to the 0 throttl...

Re: Motor oil analysis and results

Just got back my first oil sample results after switching to Synthetic oil and adding a Frantz bypass filter. Even though the result recommended to leave the oil and just sample at the next interval, I changed my oil anyway just to get a baseline result. This oil had just over 11,000 Kms on it and h...

Heater control lights

I am looking to see if anyone here has pulled apart the manual heater control to replace the bulbs. Mr. Pistachio did a great post about replacing the bulbs on an electronic heater control and I need to know how many bulbs to order for the manual control version. Here is Pistachio's thread: http://w...

Re: Welcome to the "Last Word Café".

I've stayed off here for the past few days and was going to do so for a week or two. But I just happened to get an email that drug me back to this shit. WTF happened to our little music discussion? Ok, here I go diving back in, head first..... First off to pajerry, good post, that pretty much sums u...

Well they're gone now, they were only appearing on my iPad not on my laptop. All normal now.

Nxski's rise to Delica fame?

Ummmmm, is it just me or does everyone see a picture of nxski's van where the PM button should be.

How does he rank to have his van spread about the forum on the bottom of everyone's post? Are we to have all the moderators vehicles become symbols for the functions on the forum? :-P :-P :-D

Re: Yet another cold start thread

Looks perfectly normal to me, don't know if it's just the video but I can see your lights dimming and hear clicking as if your GP's are being activated just fine. Just make sure your warm idle is set to 750'ish and let the engine warm up. If you have a manual throttle, use it to set the RPM to 1000 ...

Re: Welcome to the "Last Word Café".

Holy $h!t Steven, really? You are like a starving dog with a bone. Jesse was referring a potential customer to you via 3 of 4 links he provided. What in bloody hell is wrong with you? How does that in any way reflect as someone who wishes your business harm? You are truly messed up and obsessed wit...

Re: Photo Radar Ticket

What about a ticket for doing 50 in a 100 zone? Or the best one I heard on the radio when I lived in Vancouver, everyone gets a set number of little suction cup darts shaped like male genitalia. If someone cuts you off or takes your parking spot, you get to throw these at their car and when a cop se...

Re: Big ol' post on keeping your diesel running cleanly...

I hear ya. I saw no noticeable difference in MPG with Howes vs. without, and anything else it might be doing re: lubrication or whatever; I'm not sure I'd really notice a difference. It's mostly a preventative maintenance kind of thing for me. I wouldn't be afraid to pull the Howes from the treatme...

Re: Need help with Alternator please...

No easy way other than from underneath and behind but I remember removing the top radiator shroud did help with any effort needed from above.

It's a foul tongued hand scratching adventure for sure. Just be fuelled up with patience or have alcoholic fuel near by, you'll get through it.

Re: Big ol' post on keeping your diesel running cleanly...

Tony, why don't you try running a few tanks without the Howes but with the 2-stroke. It would be a good experiment to see if the Howes really does help in the winter. The 2-stroke is well proven, maybe a slight boost from the Howes helps, maybe it hurts..... Let's find out. I actually started out w...
