L300 ladder & roof rack questions

Cheers! Not a Delica owner now, and don't know what's up with Terzo international but I saw newer looking products of theirs in Thailand and Singapore last year. I occasionally still purchase vehicles from the Japanese auctions, and in my dealings an agent in Japan can find you specifically what you...

Locate the Recreation Site

Larry you are correct, that is Atlin, BC. It's been a busy holiday season, but I have been following your posts. Pictured is Chitkat state park 30 minutes south of Haines Alaska. This was my favorite camping spot of the season in the north. Close to the beach, very quiet for a summer weekend, and im...

Locate the Recreation Site

Challenge accepted Larry. It's been a busy summer, I spent all winter working far south, than May to Sept in the Yukon and NWT. I did explore, camp, and fish most every weekends, throughout the Yukon and Alaska, though on two wheels and not a Delica. I have spent some time in the north many years pa...

Re: Westfalia Bed in Delica?

Seen a Westfalia bed quite some years ago fit into a L300 Delica, it did require trimming on the cabinet side I was told, but the final product looked pretty sweet. Wouldn't the 3/4 width be a little to narrow? The difference isn't that great so you'd have to measure to be sure. Plus you should shar...

Re: A DeliKeshe for you-Power Generation off-Grid

Um as a practicing scientist, one with a couple of decades of interest and involvement in alternate energy sources, I did listen to the shared YouTube link for about 20 minutes. Not an expert at all concerning electron physics but there was many nonsense statements regarding science theories. Most i...

Re: Spare Tire

The plates are the most elegant option and likley the best choice...in fact I run 30's and will probably do this as well. Will likely use stainless plates and drill holes to size. Don't want a loose rack as it will only wiggle and wear out the holes over time. Been there with a SWAY BAR disconnect ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Always keep posted and of course my mind always drift to fishing. That was Swan between Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek, with the BC and Alberta border running down the middle of the lake. https://www.facebook.com/events/1661968264069701/ .Though it's been a far warmer winter than normal, but with s...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Good late morning. Hammer can be a fun lake, but tough at times, it's bug heavy and can be crowded when you least except it. Just north of Hammer is a little swampy pond called Little Hammer, or Babe Lake depending on who you talk to. It is feed heavy beyond belief, I have taken one rake of the gras...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

The amphibious tank is part of the display in the newer NWT Mining and Geological Interpretive Centre in Yellowknife. Though still in the start up phase it has a fantastic amount of different aged equipment gathered together. The tank was a WW2 landing craft that was shipped to the NWT in the early ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Very much enjoying your posts Larry, but there's been no camping for me this year, that's a first in a long time. Luckily lots of traveling! But I will post a picture I took this month to see if someone can recognize the location. I did recreate here, and hint, it's not in BC... https://scontent.xx....

Re: Why don't people like Delicas in Alberta ?

Most red necks already have two quads, a snowmobile, a trailer to pull them, plus a camper, oh and it's pulled by a $70 000 pick up. They don't have time to try anything new and strange. Oh and plus they heard all the granolas in B.C are driving those cars with the steering wheel on the wrong side ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Please find below a quick write-up on a lake for February. Spring is coming and you want to have a list of adventures ready for when it arrives. Lorin Lake is a clear medium sized lake that can be accessed via good gravel roads either via Little Fort and Sheridan Lake or from Clearwater. The Rec. S...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Yes, I have enjoyed West King Lake several times over the past 20 years on my yearly June Cariboo fishing trip. It has been a consistent producer every visit, never large fish but steady fat 18 to 14 inch Rainbows all day depending on the year. It is one of those lake we've found where the fish are ...

Wow that was perfect. thank you so much! Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Larry that is Pendleton Lake, one that has only ever reached the discussion of the 'hey lets try here, I heard from a guy at xxx lake who mentioned it back in 1899'. type of talk. Figure I've got over 30 years of pouring over maps of Cariboo lakes deciding where to fish. Three of us that have been g...
