Re: Turbo 101 Help
I blew an oil seal in my turbo a few months ago and bought a new turbo from Max Overdrive. $680.00 + shipping for a Garrett turbo. I replaced it myself and didn't find it too difficult, but it is a little tight working around the turbo. Keep things clean and make sure everything seals well and you s...

Re: L300 Turbo Charger for sale
What is the warrenty on these units. Should a person consider rebuilding a turbo themselves? Pretty mechanically inclined, but haven't worked on any turbos before.

Brake Shoes-1991 Delica
There seems to be lots of different opinions on the site about rear brake shoes. Can somebody tell me if we can get Montero brakes shoes to fit our Delicas? If not, where is the best place to purchase said shoes? I don't need them today, but will be needing them soon. Thanks in advance for the help.

Does anyone know where I can get an Oil filter for my '91 Delica in Calgary? Got half way through an oil change and my new filter is the wrong size. Argh! What are the part numbers for oil filters for our Delicas that we can buy locally?

Re: reassurances and/or reality checks for a potential owner
I purchased my '91 Delica in October of 2007 with 63,000 kms on it and I'm just about to turn over 100,000 kms. During this time I have done one set of brake pads, re-sealed the injection pump, new tires fixed a chip in the windshield, fixed the capitan seat wobble, installed a by-pass oil filter,in...

Re: Bypass Oil Filters
I bought filter from Les Colman who is a Frantz dealer in Calgary. les_coman@yahoo.ca It came with all the necessary fittings and hoses and was not a complicated install.

Re: Bypass Oil Filters
robinimpey after using the system now for quite some time, how do you like it? How often do you change your oil and the regular oil filter? Do you see any filtered particles in your toilet paper? :-) Anything you would do differently? Sorry fexlboi, i see that I didn't answer all your questions. I ...

Re: Bypass Oil Filters
Hi guys, sorry for the late reply. It's been over a year now since I put on the Frantz filter and while there are lots of reports that people just keep changing the filters and do not change their oil I'm not quite there. What I have opted to do is change filters ever couple thousand kms and then ch...

Re: Front suspension squeeky
I had this on my 95 oldsmobile and it would happen on when it was rainy out. found that the bushings on the rear control arms had broke and so there was rubber rubbing against rubber and would only squeak when it was damp. replaced bushings and now its all good.

Re: Help ? Popping sound coming from air filter?
I would agree, it sounds like a valve that is out of adjustment. My son just had this problem on his Pajero and adjusted the bad valve which got rid of the popping sound, but it came back again. He found that he had one bad rocker arm on which the roller wasn't turning. It was slowly wearing down wh...
