Add a few more to the tally. Forgot to update this one: had ALL this work redone at CVI and couldnt be happier! Except for the price tag of course....oh well! Some aftermarket non-OEM parts were used by Japanoid which they denied. Live and learn. All we can do is warn others of shoddy shops and crap...

I thought the 2-stroke was only supposed to be used in the winter months, when the diesel changes to the winter "blend"?

I wouldn't think it'd be that advisable to do it every change. Never know what else that stuff can be breaking down (gaskets, bearings, seals etc). Probably best to do it only once in a while.

Thanks, that seems to make sense in regards to the alternator loading the engine a bit more. I would suggest driving everywhere with your foot to the floor to keep the voltage up, and hence, the indicated EGT temps down. :-D Is this a joke though, or is there some truth to this?
