Re: L300 start problem. Glo plugs cycle instead

Okay, guess my terminology is off. The manual switch is wired directly to the one glow plug relay, the second one from the outside. Next to the two cylindrical relays is a rectangular relay, this is the starter relay? When the problem occurs, the rectangular relay is the one which is clicking. The s...

L300 start problem. Glo plugs cycle instead

Hey, wanted to pick your collective minds. First off, this is a transient problem. Happens and then does not repeat for months. Only happens when the engine is warm, ie, I have shut down the van for a few minutes and want to re-start. I've spoken to my mechanic and he is hesitant to start ordering p...

Re: Share G-Floor Protector

If you are looking for a mat to just cover the rear baggage area, there are BBQ mats made of similar material at Costco for $15. I think they are 3x5. If you don't mind some overlap, you can pick up 2 or 3 for a whole lot less than a roll of the garage flooring.

Re: Painting Advice

This is the stuff I am looking at. http://www.monstaliner.com/ Tough stuff and you can get it pre-tinted. Also, it is made to be rolled on. I have a little rust around a wheel well, a few spots on the roof and the same rock chips on the front. Plan is to clean it all up, hit it with rust inhibitor, ...

Re: Delica shop in town.

It is a safe bet that Adair does work on Delicas. Saw a silver low roof L300 plastered in Adair decals (company van?) up on Barlow Trail the other night. Have never been there though so cannot speak to the service. I need to start shopping around for a place to get my 100k work done. Kirkham does go...

Re: September Deli 4x4 Meet

Little late to ask. Are people stopping in Bragg Creek or heading directly to McLean Creek?

If I get no response then I'll hang out at the McLean Creek store.

See everyone tomorrow!

I'll meet for coffee/gas in Bragg Creek or at McLean Creek if people decide not to do the Bragg Stop.

Looking forward to it!

Missing hose??

My L300 has a manual glow plug relay but today, for some reason, a wire managed to cross itself or something and my ignition cycled the glow plugs but would not turn over the engine and the relay button wouldn't do anything...I managed to jiggle the problem away (something I am going to try and trac...

Brackets for L300 high roof spoiler

I have the spoiler sitting in the garage, got it with the bus, but I don't have any of the mounting hardware.

Not sure if anyone has bits sitting around of if it is something I can fabricate on my own.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Calgary L300 Show & Tell

I'm up for a Peter's run for sure.

In the meantime, I have no problem showing my L300 off if you want to do coffee sometime. The rest of this week through the long weekend is shot but I should be able to find some time over the next couple weeks.

Ciao,

Re: Blown Turbo? Dumped all my oil! Dead Delica L400

I have no idea if the alternator/oil pump setup is the same on a 400 as a 300 so you can likely ignore this post. I have an L300 and a similar situation happened to me a month ago. Something in the oil pump gave way and blew all my oil out on the road around/through the alternator. The mess was unde...

Re: Hello from Alberta!!

I know there is a camperized Deli with a pop-top up on the hill in the SW corner of Cochrane, maybe that's the one you followed.

My wife and I are in Cochrane occasionally. I'll try and let you know next time I head out there if you don't get a chance to see one earlier.
