Re: Child seat and cup holders

WOW! Why don't you actually do the research to find out if it is legal to have the carseat anchored to the seat and provide some actual helpful comment instead of just stirring the pot? One thing with all these DIY tether mounts is...are they legal? Be a smart idea to find out from ones insurance pr...

L400 Front Seatbelt Assembly

My passenger from seat belt completely stopped winding itself in. I tried winding it back up by hand and then pretensioning the spring but I think the spring hook keeps slipping off the attachment point. It works for a couple of pulls but then the spring slips and no more retracting action. Seems do...

Re: ICBC writing off damaged RHD's to get them off the road

So if ICBC writes it off for a windshield, gives you $X,000 for it, can you then buy it back from ICBC for a couple of thousand, put on a new windshield and get it reinsured as a rebuilt? I'd take that deal!

Re: Jensen's EGR Removal Blank Kits - Now With More Cowbell

Manic, did you get your plates installed yet? I was kind of hoping we'd get to do installs in the parking lot as well but it'd probably look a bit weird just the 2 of us out there! Also, I'm just finishing pricing on that double din gauge cluster for L300's but I need an L400 to measure up to make ...

Re: CANADA'S TOUGHEST IMPAIRED DRIVING PENALTIES START SEPT. 20

...The teaching of social responsibility has to be the starting point but in today's society, a lot of parents have abdicated their role in the upbringing of their children. Relying instead on the schools, etc. Draconian impaired driving laws may have a slight impact, but the real problem has to be...

Re: Never let others pump your fuel...

Major brand or not, he bought diesel and was sold the wrong fuel, resulting in some degree of damage for which the station is liable. Small claims can be more trouble than its worth but you might try contacting the owner of the station and concisely explain what happened, and that you have yet to e...

Re: CANADA'S TOUGHEST IMPAIRED DRIVING PENALTIES START SEPT. 20

Hey you two above and anyone else who thinks a nice glass of wine over dinner and then driving home is fine. My girlfriend is tanked after one glass of wine. Enough that she cannot drive. It's only one glass. Would you guys feel comfortable putting your loved ones in the passenger seat of my girlfr...

Re: CANADA'S TOUGHEST IMPAIRED DRIVING PENALTIES START SEPT. 20

I believe in personal responsibility. The lowest common denominator should not dictate the law. I'm not sure if I follow you? Are you saying if someone is dumb enough to ride a motorcycle without an helmet and crash with severe head injury I should be partly responsible for his health care cost? I'...

Re: Never let others pump your fuel...

What I found interesting was the gas pump actually fit in your diesel tank... I thought it was the diesel nozzles were bigger and the gas ones smaller diameter. Pajerry, so what did the pump jockey do/say? If it was a major brand station, I'd be writing a letter and see what happens. Possibly more ...

Re: CANADA'S TOUGHEST IMPAIRED DRIVING PENALTIES START SEPT. 20

Its an easily dismantled argument and leads down another slippery slope. Driving is the most dangerous activity we engage in, so by your logic... we should ban driving. He sees the light! To Mr. F and glenn, regarding the cost of healthcare, then I guess we should not be allowed to do any "dan...

Re: CANADA'S TOUGHEST IMPAIRED DRIVING PENALTIES START SEPT. 20

I'm all for stopping drunks on the road, but it's just paranoid to say that having a beer or a glass of wine with dinner and then driving is dangerous... The measure has to be the level of intoxication not just consumption. What's next - no driving for a week after a beer? Just saying. Btw, do you ...

Re: CANADA'S TOUGHEST IMPAIRED DRIVING PENALTIES START SEPT. 20

You don't get it. I don't want you to be allowed to drive after ONE beer. Yeah this is the same kind of argument idiots are using to ban RHD vehicles. "I don't care if RHD are less safe or not, ban them just to be sure." You cannot enjoy privileges that impose a cost upon society that is ...
