Looking for a passenger side front step for an L300. Ideally chrome but not too picky. Will also consider a matching set if the price is right (or for colour coordination...).
Thanks!

Re: Gear or Tranny whine...
Update: Checked and replaced fluid. It was near empty. It seems that the seal between the trans and transfer case might be going as all the fluid missing from the trans ended up in the transfer case. Fresh fluid all but made the noise disappear. Now the game of constant checking begins, to see how f...

Gear or Tranny whine...
I haven't posted much here since I got my van, as its been rock solid…. But lately I've noticed a significant whine that happens in first and second gears. Under load (accelerating) it increases in volume from about 1700 rpm through 3000 rpm when I shift up. There is no other symptoms of anything, I...

Re: Erratic, jumpy speedometer
Awesome!
I have been having identical symptoms with my speedo. Especially the noise (so much noise!) and thinking it's the wheel or hub. Thanks for the fix.

Re: what light is this? "yellow battery"
I just had the same light come on in my '97 L300. It started after I had the batteries replaced. Butch at CVI told me that there is a sensor that inserts into the battery to let you know if the acidity or water level within the battery is off. When I replaced my batteries there was no place for the ...

Re: wdo lock/unlock
I have a 97 with the same switch. Its in place of earlier models' rear hatch lock. For me it disables my passenger window switch on the console. When I first got my van I tried to lock the hatch only to discover after that my window wouldn't work, which led to much confusion. I would rather have the...

Re: Harmon Lake
lrp374 is right, its a car camping area. Further south along the Kane road leads to smaller, less RV oriented lakes - Shea, Boss, Tahla are all nice lakes, though some of the sites are exposed without much cover.

Re: Spare tire...How?
Open the tailgate You will see a bolt head on the sill slightly off centre that conveniently is the same size as your tire wrench Crank away and your tire will magically lower in slow motion before your very eyes Thats what I figured. But just wanted to be sure. Then slide your legs under, making s...

Spare tire...How?
So I don't have to ask this from the side of the road, how do I get the spare tire out of the basket?
You'd think this would be obvious, but I've only owned cars where the spare is lifted out of the trunk.
Cheers,

Re: Auto locks... working?
Awesome! A place to start! (Not having one is usually my problem...)
Jay, I think we both have '97 L300s. Do you suppose its in the same place? And is there a way to test the relay once I've got it out?
Thanks everyone!

Re: Auto locks... working?
I figured as much. But would there be a combo of button pushing that should open more than the drivers door? (double tap, hold button?) - Something to try first...? There is a mess of wires and controllers under the driver seat that I believe is for the remote locks and I'm wondering if something ha...

Auto locks... working?
After putting a new battery in the door lock remote, on a whim, I've discovered that it works! It only does the driver's door, but its a start... I'm wondering if anyone else has a stock (it says Mitsubishi) blue/light blue door remote... I'd like to know if there is something up with my system, in ...
